Undocumented pinhole in valve body "feature." Did not appear on either vendor or manufacturor's web sites. Vendor and manufacturor consider it a mfg defect and have now discovered they both have thousands of these valves in stock, every one with this pinhole in the back of the valve body. Back to the drawing board for the entire water system...
