What is the difference between LN46A850/860 and LN46B750?

IT all depends on what you are looking for. The 8 series sets were the thin LCD units, with all the same features and specs as the A750. The A850 was ToC red while the A860 was ToC blue with an added USB port. However the B750 is the newest model for 2009 and has enhanced contrast ratios, internet@tv and USB2.0 with movie support. I can't recommend one over the other since each model will be better then the other depending on your situation.

Does Samsung have TVs with Picture-on-Picture?

From the info i have the LN55B650 is the only LCD set in Samsung's line that offers 2 tuners. This should allow for PiP with two different coax signals. All the other TVs require a coax and a secondary non coax signal (like PC, HDMI, etc.).

Technically there are 3 different types of panels. You have the Ultra Clear Panel, the Clear Panel and the Matte Panel. Although the UCP and CP both have anti-reflection properties, the matte panel will obviously have the least amount of glare. The UCP and CP basically improves the picture quality and heighten the contrast ratio of the sets, which allow for a sharper image with richer colors. Also, UCP will have better anti-reflection properties then just the regular CP.

What is the difference in model version "A" versus "B" (as in LN##A### vs. LN##B###)?

The "A" version basically means that the model TV was produced in 2008, while the "B" means the TV was manufactured in 2009. Also the B models have some additional features that the A models did not offer previously.

when transporting or moving the samsung LCD TV can it be tilted to the side without harming it?

IF you are hauling it short distances, then it shouldn't harm the TV. However, prolonged tiltage may harm the TV. Also, do not ever lay the TV down on its screen, that may cause the screen to bow and destroy the pixels in the screen.

Does the LN52B750 have the same non reflective screen as the LNA630? I already have the A630 model and it is terrific, and I want the B750 for a very bright room with big windows facing the set, so screen reflectivity is very important.

The B750 does have the Ultra Clear Panel, which is a glossy screen. The UCP does have anti reflective properties however, which allow for adequate viewing in bright rooms.

I just bought a B630 not realizing (since there is no information posted) that it has many fewer features than the B650.

Currently only the B650 has all the features you desire. there are no plans to offer a firmware update for the 630 since it would take more then just a firmware update to get all the features onto the 630 that the 650 has.

Can you explain difference between LN46B630 and LN46B640?

The LNB640 is a Best Buy exclusive, is ToC gray, and it has the Ultra Clear Panel, where as the LNB630 is a general retail version, is red and does not have ultra clear panel.

Currently there are no models with just the Clear Panel in a 55" variety.

Kind of screen on the LN52B750?

In my opinion the LN52B750 wins hands down, at least statistically. better contrast ratio, faster response time and 240 hz vs. 120 hz with a much lighter weight. As for reflection, the way it was explained to me, the Ultra Clear Panel will show more light reflections than the newer B model which does not feature the UCP.

Difference between LN46B530 / B540 / B550?

The 550 has a different dynamic contrast ratio

Yes, look for TVs that do NOT have the Ultra Clear Panel. In the 6 series, for example, the TVs ending in 630 - both the older A and newer B models, have a semi-matte screen, wheras the 640 and 650 have a high-gloss screen. Whether or not a specific TV has the Ultra Clear Panel is indicated in the Specs section.

You are on the right track, although you are off on a few things. All of the last 3 numbers represents the series of the TV. So that would be the 630 series or 550 series. The "B" just means that that set is the new model for 2009. As far as comparing between the different technologies, that would be kinda lop sided. Similar models across LED and LED would not necessarily have the same specs and features, even if they have a similar numbering convention or price point.

In 2008 line up, all A450 and above have DNIe. Why not DNIe no shown in the specification of all Samsung 2009 "B" series or even LED TV?

The feature is still there. I think it's called "Internet" now.

As long as your TV has the Infolink feature, there would be the possibility of a firmware update including the widgets. However at this time, I do not know if this will be implemented.

I would say the ones that do NOT come with the Ultra Clear Panel, but a simi-matte screen. Examples are the LNxx450, LNxxA530, LNxxA550, and LNxxA630. Potenitally also the new LNxxB610 available only in warehouse clubs.

The Refresh Rate refers to the actual frames per second that the signal is displayed at.

All of our TVs work at a 60Hz refresh rate, meaning that the signal "can" be displayed at up to 60 frames per second. Some of our TVs display the signal at 120Hz, meaning that it can display and even upconvert the signal to 120 frames per second.

The more frames per second that are displayed, the more you will be able to see.

well, it really depends on your preference, lighting, and where your going to put it. The LN52A860 has a higher contrast ratio than the LED tvs. Say if you want to put the tv in a well lit room, the LED may be for you, theyre much brighter than the incandecents in standard LCDs. If its going to go in a regular room or dimmer room, the LN52A860 may be for you because it has a higher contrast ratio and can be seen better in a lower lit room.

Are LCD TVs Subject To Screen Burn In?

Although much less susceptible than Plasma TVs, LCD TVs are still subject to screen burn in (image retention). In general, you should avoid keeping a static picture (that is, a picture that contains no or few moving elements) or a picture with static elements (black bars, black borders, logos, etc.) on your LCD TV for more than two hours at a time.
