Nov 1991 comes the following story - on November 24, 1855 Sarah A.
Shock Reynolds died. Family legend states,"there was no place to bury
her". Consequently, William David Heffington gave a few acres of his
farm to begin a cemetery. It is believed william david and Sarah's
husband, James H. Reynolds were first cousins.

Stephen was a preacher and believed in building communities. Along
with kinsmen, her helped to build the Liberty School and Meeting House
in Franklin, Simpson Co, KY
When Archiblad Heffington applied for a Revolutionary War pension,

John Lowe:was born in NC, was a LT in the Rev. War, rec'ed an
honorable discharge and 260 acres in Washington Co, GA, and married for
the second time in his old age and had one son Arron Augustus Lowe.
