William's second name was possibly Lowe.


Thomas David HEFFINGTON

Thomas was commissioned as an Ensign, July 23, 1823 in the 10th Regiment, Alabama State Militia.  His widow was living in White County, Arkansas on 1860 census.  Thomas was JP in Van Buren County, Arkansas in 1850. He died in possibly White or Conway County, Arkansas.

Henry was a AR State Rept in the 12th General Assembly 1856-1860
1850 census - Benton Twp, Conway Co, AR
1860 census - Montogomery Co. AR
on 12 Feb 1856, Henry and Lourany sold land in Montogomery Co,AR to
Cornelius Henry Gibbs
Henry signed and Lurany made her mark on a "Deed of Conveyance"
between them and Granville Whittington for $125. On 22 Mar 1859 the
mortgage was satisfied.

Stephen buried in Allen-McNeil Cemetery.
Parker Co.TX: 7 Jan 1854 states he settled on his land on 6 Dec
1853.Land consisted of 320 acres lying on the waters of the
Clear Fork of the Trinity River abt 17 miles so 55degrees east of
Weatherford (survey dated 24 Jan 1854)
Travis Co.TX: 21 Feb 1871, he states he had lived on the land for 3
consecutive years prior to this date.
In a letter from Dora Roberson youngest daughter of Roxye Caldonia Kay
in1972 to Dorothy Lain, Dora says the Heffington family came from
Parker County, TX to Travis Co in a wagon pulled by four yoke of oxen.

Stephen had a brother JAmes who died a bachelor in KY. Stephen came
to Dallas Co, TX in Nov 1849 after his wife's death and his fahter's death
Stephen and wife had 9 children. Wife's name could have been Nancy or he could have had a first wife named Nancy
Stephen had possibly 4 daughters and 3 sons. Daughters married
Hufflmier, Law and Reeder
Stephen was a preacher and believed in building communities. Along
with kinsmen, her helped to build the Liberty School and Meeting House
in Franklin, Simpson Co, KY
When Archiblad Heffington applied for a Revolutionary War pension,
